Silverswords on Haleakala.

Is a rare plant, part of the daisy family actually, The silversword in general is referred to as ʻāhinahina in Hawaiian.
This plant is found on the slopes of Haleakala and is a real treat to see!
The crater is very vast and is a real treat to see! It looks very much like the surface of the moon!

On the way up to Haleakala there is even some cows to be seen, we can always jump out and say hi, or moo in cow speak. These guys like to hangout in upcountry maui aswell!

It is quite amazing how high up we really are in such a short distance. Haleakala from sea to summit is quite steep!
